Oh, there's so much to write about! You see, Lil Bit, Bug, Lil Bit's Lil Friend, Miss Opera, and the double catastrophes camped out in our yard on Friday night while I spent the night at my friend, Bestest's, house. After about ten minutes in the tent, or so I hear, all of the kids came into the house and camped on the living room floor. On the Morning of the Day Before, Saturday, Bestest and I came and ate pancakes for breakfast with all the kids. Then Bestest and I did a Latin lesson and hung out for a while. In the evening, we had a campfire in the backyard, and made s'mores. We made Uncle G. sing for us. He sang Bimbo. Yesterday, we went to church. We go to church every Sunday. There Lil Bit's Lil Friend's family took her back after church. Lil Friend's family are quite the rodeo people. They are good at it. Lil Friend's Big Sister has a big rodeo to go to, and if she wins will have another big rodeo. I can't remember what exactly those are. Lil Friend's Older Brother is in Nationals! Can you imagine? I, personally, would be so nervous, I wouldn't be able to think clearly. Lil Friend has rodeos she is in, too. Rather sad, really, 'cause I have not a clue when it comes to competing in rodeos, so I have to ask Lil Friend questions about almost every word she says when she's talking about rodeos. I sure do like to watch them, though. Lil Friend told me all about what each of them is doing in the rodeos, but to tell the truth, I still haven't a clue. I really wish I did, because I've always wanted to at least know how to do something that you could compete in a rodeo with, but have no one to teach me. After church, we went to The Heart City and had pizza for a treat for lunch. We saw our cuz on the way to the lake to go boating. Then we came home and cleaned the yard in preparation for the rain predicted for Sunday night. After watching Anne of Avonlea, we went to bed and woke up this morning. The men have been working on the house lately, and I like having them around. Especially Uncle G because he is so funny all the time. And that concludes, for now, this edition of The Cowtown Chronicles.

Introducing Cowtown
Welcome, visitor!
I would like to get straight to the post,
but I feel you must know a few things first.
Daddy and, on occasion, Momma took all of the pictures shown on this blog.
(Unless otherwise marked, of course.)
This blog was inspired by one of my teachers.
Cowtown is what you might call "fun-sized",
and that is just the way I like it.
Posts will be varied and follow no particular theme.
No profanity will be used on this blog, so you might say that it is "kid safe".
Any other information needing to be supplied has slipped my mind,
and will be brought to the forefront if thought of.
This is the Cowtown Elevator.
It stands on the edge of Cowtown.
I think that the Cowtown Sunsets are perfectly lovely.
Sunsets are one of those things that couldn't be enjoyed any more even
if you had ropes of diamonds around your neck. In fact, it's beauty might
even bemore appreciated by one in rags than one in silk.
Every day I am in wonder of the beauty of God's creation.
In a way, you see miracles happening all around you every day.
You just have to keep your eyes open to them.
Have you ever noticed how much God pays attention to even the smallest of details?
Cowtown sometimes gets lots of rain in the summer.
Just the same, though, some summers can be rather dry.
I like rainy days. I don't know what I find so fascinating in the ominous gray clouds and gloomy appearance of the world. Maybe it's just the unconscious appreciation of all of the beauty of God's creation, and not just the cheerful, sunny side of it. Just look at that rainbow!! I can't but help think of the eternal promise God made to Noah which a rainbow signifies. Isn't it amazing how many promises he can keep without fail, while we struggle to keep but one unimportant promise?
P.S. Depending on my mood, the posts could be funny or serious or even profound. Therefore, don't be in despair of a constantly serious girl. Who knows, perhaps I might even make you laugh.
